Chair of the Movement Disorders INPA Subgroup Tamine’s research focuses on improving balance and gait in people with Parkinson’s and related disorders. She is CEO and Director of PHYSICAL Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Movement Disorders (MD) Rehabilitation Center – São Paulo where she provides physical therapy and leads a team of health care professionals. Vice Chair Former secretary of the Jordanian Physical Therapy Society and current member of the Movement Disorders Society (MDS) Middle East Working Group. Hanan’s research focuses on exercise engagement for people living with PD and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and exploring the effect of regular exercise on the non-motor symptoms of MS and PD. Hanan won the L’Oréal UNESCO for Women In Science Levant fellowship (2018), was selected for the TechWomen Emerging Leader Program award, and the International PD and MDS LEAP program for young leaders (2019). Secretary Physiotherapist and Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne UK. Dr Morris’s work focuses on the impact of cognition on gait, balance and falls in people with Parkinson’s disease and ultimately how this will improve rehabilitation. Dr Morris is the secretary for the INPA MDS Subgroup and is the lead of the Parkinson’s UK Research Interest Group for the North East and North Cumbria region. Mariella Graziano (Luxembourg) Physiotherapy trainer at ParkinsonNet Luxembourg, a member of the ParkinsonNet international network.
Immediate Past-Chair Mariella is the Past President of the Association of Physiotherapists in Parkinson’s Disease Europe (2000-2018) and author of the European Physiotherapy Guideline for Parkinson’s. Mariella runs her neurological physiotherapy practice in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. She is devoted to promoting research-based practice and effective clinical reasoning amongst physiotherapists across the world who have a special interest in movement disorders. |
